Stay Up to Date With Meredith Craig

Meredith Craig’s story
starts a lot like most of ours.

Born and raised right here in Wayne County, Craig grew up on a chicken farm in Creston, OH. She was able to learn the value of hard work and discipline. Craig was an active member of 4H and FFA. Craig is a Smithville and Malone University graduate and daughter of Paul and Julie Alexander.

She’s rooted in agriculture.

Craig worked at a local grocery store in Smithville for seven years. That experience gave her proof positive that we need to fight for lower taxes, smaller government, and reduced regulations to truly promote economic growth and prosperity. She’s translated that experience in her work as Director of Healthcare Policy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.

She’s an advocate for our business.

As a wife of a law enforcement officer and a staunch Second Amendment advocate, Craig always prioritizes giving our first responders the support they need while safeguarding our fundamental rights.

She’s a proud voice for our men and women in uniform.

Craig is a strong Christian conservative and active in her church in Rittman. Her guiding principles allow her to champion pro-life initiatives and advocate for school choice. She is making Ohio a state that prioritizes the sanctity of life and empowers parents to choose the best education for their children.

Meredith Craig is a voice for Wayne County.

“During my 36 years in our state legislature Meredith was one of the best employees in my office. She knows the legislature inside and out. Yet she is a truly humble and effective public servant. Meredith does not walk on water, though she knows someone who did. I’m confident she will do much to calm the waters in the Ohio House of Representatives and beyond. My vote is with Meredith and I recommend her, without reservation, to Wayne County voters.”

-Ron Amstutz, Wayne County Commissioner

“It gives me great pleasure to endorse Meredith Craig in her pursuit of making a difference for Wayne County at the state level. Meredith is a highly motivated and organized leader with a conservative and passionate vision. Meredith has grown up in Smithville learning many lessons that have shaped her character that would benefit our community. She knows the value of balancing the needs for our farms and businesses for future growth and would be a valuable younger voice in Columbus advocating for our citizens. Please join me in voting for Meredith Craig as our next State Representative for House District 77.

-Matt Plybon, City of Orrville Mayor

“I support Meredith Craig for State Representative. Meredith Craig is a woman of strength with strong morals and values and she will remain steady in those values as she represents Wayne County at the State level. Having grown up in Wayne County, Meredith is very cognizant of the importance of maintaining our rural character but she will also work diligently to support business attraction. I have known Meredith Craig for over 10 years and I am confident that she will be responsive to the needs and concerns of Wayne County.”

-Sue Smail, Wayne County Commissioner

“It is without hesitation that I endorse Meredith Craig for State Representative for Wayne County. I became acquainted with Meredith in 2015 when she worked for then State Representative Ron Amstutz. I found her to be bright and articulate. I quickly saw Meredith had a passion for public service. As a legislative fellow, Meredith was appointed to work for three Ohio Senate offices where she gained valuable experience tracking budget amendments, and communicating with constituents regarding questions or concerns that were posed to the senators. She expanded her knowledge of state government by preparing floor speeches and prepared press releases.

Meredith spent her childhood years in Wayne County on a farm learning the hard work and dedication it takes to be a farmer. As a result, she became involved in 4-H and FFA. As county auditor I realize how important our agricultural heritage is to our county where over 75 percent of our precious soil is involved in farming. Having representation at the State house from a member who appreciates this legacy will be an asset to our farming community. Meredith will further lobby to preserve the beautiful county we live and work in.

Meredith is a candidate that will be able to roll up her sleeves and hit the ground running in the Statehouse. She will offer a smooth transition, and with her leadership skills I have no doubt Meredith will quickly get committee assignments, grasp the complex budgeting process of the State of Ohio and be attentive and responsive to her constituents.

Please join me in voting for Meredith Craig for State Representative of Wayne County.”
